About Liminal Softworks
Liminal Softworks was founded on a simple idea: powerful software should not only function—it should solve real business problems in a scalable, practical way.
The company began as the vision of CTO Derek Boyer, who set out to build a platform that could bridge the gap between raw data, operational efficiency, and intelligent decision-making. With a strong foundation in software development and system design, Derek laid the technical groundwork for what would become Helios—the core platform driving Liminal Softworks forward.
Recognizing that building great technology requires more than just code, Derek strategically expanded the team to ensure the business could scale beyond development alone.
Kyle Furnish, Chief Software Architect, was brought on to support and accelerate the development of Helios. Together, Derek and Kyle form the technical backbone of Liminal—designing and building systems that are clean, scalable, and built for real-world application. Their collaboration ensures that every line of code contributes to a larger, cohesive vision.
To complement the technical foundation, Derek partnered with Justin Ketron and Michael Knab to lead the operational and commercial side of the business. Bringing extensive experience in business operations, sales, banking, and marketing, they provide the structure, strategy, and market alignment necessary to turn powerful software into a successful, scalable company.
Since its founding in February 2025, Liminal Softworks has been focused on developing Helios while simultaneously building the infrastructure required for long-term success. This includes establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs), designing the company’s brand and digital presence, and creating a comprehensive sales and growth strategy.
Every element of the business has been intentionally developed—from product architecture to go-to-market execution—with a focus on sustainability, scalability, and real-world impact.
At its core, Liminal Softworks exists at the intersection of technology and business—bridging the gap between what is built and what actually works.
